The Assessor is charged with the responsibility of assessing real property in the town for purposes of taxation. The Assessor maintains the assessment roll, which is the document that contains every property’s assessment. The physical description and value estimate of every parcel of real estate in the town is constantly being updated. The N.Y.S. Office of Real Property Services has some very informative brochures available on their website: www.tax.ny.gov

The Assessor’s Office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except major holidays. The office is closed every Thursday at 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM. When the Assessor is not available, her clerk, Melissa Wright, will be happy to assist you or pass your questions/concerns onto the Assessor.
