ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

TOWN OF ROSENDALE

ULSTER COUNTY, NEW YORK

SAND HILL WATER STORAGE TANK REPLACEMENT

DWSRF PROJECT NO. 18700

 

Sealed, separate Bids for the construction of the Town of Rosendale Sand Hill Water Storage Tank Replacement, Contract No. 1 – General Construction will be received by Town of Rosendale, at the office of the Supervisor located at 1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill, New York 12419, until 10:00am local time on June 23, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of the following:

1. Demolition and removal of the existing Sand Hill Road water storage tank.
2. Furnish and install one (1) new glass lined steel bolted water storage tank with a nominal storage volume of 300,000 gallons not including freeboard.
3. Furnish and install associated yard piping, fittings, and appurtenances required to connect the new water storage tank to the existing distribution system.
4. Construction of a new 15-foot wide gravel access road from Sand Hill Road near the intersection of Sand Hill Road and Elting Road.
5. Site work, including but not limited to site clearing for the new access road, grading, erosion and sediment control, and drainage improvements as necessary.
6. Electrical work required to successfully commission the new storage tank and connect to the Town’s existing SCADA system.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum basis.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. located at 10 Airline Drive, Suite 200, Albany, New York 12205.  Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at https://bl.biddyhq.com.  Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files for a nonrefundable fee of $100.  The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b.

Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b.  Bids will not be accepted from Bidder’s determined to be Non-Responsive by the New York State Office of General Services.  This Project is a “Covered Project” under New York State Labor Law 220-I and the Bidder must hold a valid Certificate of Registration from the New York State Department of Labor to submit a Bid and at all times for the duration of the Work.

Purchase made by Town of Rosendale are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials.  Exemption certificates will be executed upon request.

An optional pre-bid conference was held at 10:00am local time on May 21, 2026 at the existing Sand Hill water storage tank site at 50 Brown Ave., Rosendale, NY 12472.

The Owner’s right is reserved to reject all Bids or any Bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents.
